Reiner Nagel was born in 1978 in Germany. He is a member of the Lusatian Serb minority in Germany. After high school, he trained as a carpenter. Then he attended an evening grammar school in Bautzen for 3 years. He graduated in 2000. At the same time working for the Lusatian-Serbian production company SFS. Various works in film. FAMU Prague since 2003. 2009 Recognition of "Jaroslav Kučera", FAMU Dean's Award for extraordinary assignments in the framework of studies and membership in the AČK-Association of Czech Cinametographers. 2010 scholarship N-Čz-Fondu-Budoucnosti, founds the production company "ostwärts-film", production of various documentaries for Lusatian-Serbian television, Authors collaboration with H. Drbohlav (Habermann's mill) on the screenplay "Koupime elektrarnu".
