Kristyna Balaban holds a Bachelors degree in Social/Cultural Anthropology from the University of Toronto, and a Masters of Fine Arts in Documentary Media from Ryerson University. Originally from Toronto, Canada, in Prague Kristyna worked for 5 years at the Institute of Documentary Film, first as a coordinator and then as the project manager for the Ex Oriente Film workshop and the East Doc Forum. From 2020-2021 she worked as a project manager and curator for North and South America at the international VOD platform Doc Alliance Films, and in 2022 she worked as a project manager for the documentary series Celts: The Untold Story at Picasso Films.
