Marion Kurucz is a French-Hungarian lawyer and film producer. After having gained experience in international law, she joined the Romedia Foundation in 2007 as producer of the Mundi Romani – the World through Roma Eyes travelling TV documentary series (2007 – 2011, broadcast on and in co-production with Duna Television Hungary). Shot in Roma communities in more than twenty countries across the world, the series won a UNESCO Prize in 2010 and had episodes nominated at the Monte Carlo TV Festival (2008), the FIPA (2009) and the CIVIS Prize (2009). She is also the producer of other films and film projects such as Uprooted (2011, nominated at the 8th Aljazeera Documentary Film Festival) and 3Brothers (in production, winner of HBO Adria Best Pitch Award at ZagrebDox 2013).She is co-founder of Retina Film Budapest and works in cooperation with Baxt Films (Budapest) on several documentary projects.
