Cracow-born Magdalena Żelasko, has been living in Vienna for about 30 years now. She studied Slavic studies, journalism, and communication sciences at the University of Vienna, which she rounded up with a Ph.D. She has worked as a manager for several international companies and as a journalist for Austrian and Polish media. The former university lecturer with a focus on culture and communication founded the LET’S CEE association and served as founder and managing director for several projects with a focus on audience development, education, film and EU networks, incl. the LET’S CEE Film Festival (2012–2018), the LET’S CEE School Cinema (2013–2018) and the EU Youth Cinema (2019–2026), which she has developed. In 2024, she has directed her first documentary, AMBASSADOR OF REMEMBRANCE.
