Manuela Buono was born and lives in Trieste. In 2013 she founded production and distribution company Slinghsot Films, specialized in creative documentaries and art-house fiction films with a focus on debuts, art-house and creative documentaries.
Mega Plus 2010 graduated, she received a Nipkow fellowship in 2011 and was selected for Berlinale Talent in 2014. With Arch Production she produced “Non è Sogno” by Giovanni Cioni, premiered at Locarno FF 2019.
With Slinghot Films, she produced “Fango Rosso”, feature documentary by Alberto Diana, premiered at Torino FF 2019, “Freiköperkultur” by Alba Zari, selected at International Critic's Week, Venice 2021, “Diteggiatura” by Riccardo Giacconi, Giornate degli Autori 2021 and Rotterdam IFF 2022. Manuela Buono is member of the EFA and EWA.
