Born in Germany, since 2001 living in France. After an MA in modern history, literature and political science, started to work as a journalist in France. Worked as a journalist, radio editor, TV editor. Started to work regularly for French filmmakers as a researcher and assistant. In 2005, gave the first assistant lecture at the University of Leipzig: History of the French documentary. At the same time, directed a short film and wrote various screenplays. In 2007, directed his first 26 min documentary, produced for ARTE.
