Martin Piga studied film editing at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. After studies he worked on several short films, TV projects and also acclaimed films like "Photophobia" (2023, dir. Ivan Ostrochovský)) and "107 Mothers" (2021, dir. Peter Kerekes), winning awards at festivals like Venice and Chicago. Martin is a member of the European Film Academy and he currently edited the feature-length fiction film "Anesteza" by Jaro Vojtek and working on the documentary "Marathon" by Peter Kerekes. Additionally, he is working on his directorial debut film, "Parallel Space" focusing on the searching for freedom, through parallel societies.
