Cordula Thym was born in Tyrol in 1977. She studied gender studies at the University of Vienna and film editing at the Vienna Film Academy. She also has a degree as soundtechnician. She workes now mainly as an assistant editor, sound woman and editor. She has been an activist in the queer and feminist scene in Vienna for the past 10 years, doing a feminist radio show and co-organizing two Ladyfests. Besides documentary film making she is interested in self-organization, community work and music.
