Gurkalenko Valentina was born in 1946 in Lida, Belarus. Screenwriter and director, graduated from the Cinematography Institute, workshop Zguridi with honours. Honored Artist of Russia. Member of the National Academy Nika, member of Peters Academy of Arts and Sciences. From 2001 to 2011 - the head and the studio director of St. Petersburg University of Cinema and Television.
