Lars Barthel, camera tutor. Born in Erfurt, East Germany. Graduated from the Film and Television Academy in Potsdam-Babelsberg. Barthel works as a cameraman of feature and documentary films. Thanks to his job he was able to travel the whole world. In 1996-97, he was a camera professor at the Film and Television Academy in Potsdam-Babelsberg. Currently he is a tutor at film schools and workshops in Ludwigsburg, southern Germany, and in Bolzano, Italy. Recently he made a documentary based on his own life in GDR that won numerous awards.
