Born on November 28th 1988 in Aachen, Germany it was in Vienna that Jana followed her passion for social anthropology. Pursuing degrees in Anthropology and Political Science she also discovered her interest in teaching, adding yet another field to her academic career . She thus spent 8 months in Tunis as a researcher and lecturer for German language, using this experience as a starting point for the documentary, since it gave her a unique insight into the student community.
