Petr graduated from the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Charles University and Department of Documentary Film at FAMU. He works as a film director, cinematographer and film archives researcher (for example for ‘Burning Bush’ by Agnieszka Holland, ‘Golden Sixties’ by Martin Šulík or ‘Dissidents’ by Ruth Zylberman). In his previous films, he focused on the artists Adriena Šimotová (‘Of the Near and the distant’ - Evald Schorm’s Award at Academia Film Olomouc 2003) and Jiri John (‘Fruits Falling of Itself’ 2008) and topics related to the nature and landscape. ‘Jan Jedlicka: Colourful Traces of a Landscape’ is his feature debut. He is shooting a new documentary project in co-direction with Jan Simanek titled ‘Adam Ondra: pushing the limits’.
