Manuel F Contreras was born in Colombia and has worked in documentary filmmaking both independently and for TV networks. His first feature length documentary film Boys of Buenaventura received several recognitions. Now based in Budapest, he works as head of programming of the Budapest International Documentary Film Festival and also as the main programmer of Déli-Doku Budapest. He is currently shooting his second feature length documentary film titled The Living and The Death.
