Matej Sotník is a producer at guča films, and creative director at Film Expanded distribution, both based in Bratislava. He is the producer of Viera Čákanyová’s sci-fi documentary "Notes from Eremocene" with world premiere at Berlinale 2023. He is currently producing 6 feature documentaries such as "World of Walls" (dir. Lucia Kašová), "It's Not Your Fault" (dir. Paula Ďurinová) or "600 Raids" (dir. Kristina Leidenfrostova) and co-producing feature docs "The Other One" (dir. Marie Magdalena Kochová) and "If Pigeons Turned to Gold" (dir. Pepa Lubojacki). Matej is partnering with producers from Czechia, Germany or Austria. He is a co- founder of the Slovak Documentary Film Association. He is alumnus of workshops such as Emerging Producers, MIDPOINT Series Launch, MFI Doc Lab or IDFAcademy.
