After earning degrees in Politic Sciences and contemporary History, Dorothée Lachaud moved to central Europe to explore the documentary stage for her history thesis. In 2005, she entered the Master on Documentary in Paris VII and was hired by Bonne Pioche Productions as documentary development manager. There, she experienced the writing and co-writing of various kinds of TV documentaries, from discovery series, to single films about French society or History. In 2008, she co-founded the production company “Les Protagonistes”: there, she developed and produce various documentaries and a mid-length film. Since 2010, she is fully involved in writing and directing her own films. She recently directed three documentaries part of the collection FRENCH OVERSEAS TERRITORIES: A DIFFERENT STORY, to be broadcasted on France Televisions April and May 2013.
