Ábel Visky was born in 1987 in Romania. Since September, 2011 he has been studying film directing at the University of Theatre and Film Arts in Budapest under the tutelage of János Szász and Ildikó Enyedi. During his studies, he wrote and directed several short films which received awards at festivals, such as Playfellows (FEST - New Directors New Films Festival, Portugal – best actress; Watersprite International Student Film Festival, England – best director) and  Romanian Sunrise (Budapest International Short Film Festival – Jury’s Special Mention). Tales from the Prison Cell will be his first feature-length movie.
