Born in 1969, grew up in Munich. Having studied at the Filmuniversity "Konrad Wolf" in Potsdam - Babelsberg in the camera department until 2001, together with Stefan Eberlein he was running the production company "Filmbüro-Süd" from 2000 to 2020. His wide-ranging and often awarded documentaries give attention to political and cultural hot spots of the world. „Painful peace“ about the youth in Kosovo by Anne Thoma won the BR/Telepool documentary award in 2006, „Adrians Dream“ was screened at several festivals and the short documentary „The summerclub“ won the Grimme award in 2014. „Parchim International“ about a chinese investor, which he realized as a co-director and cinematographer won several awards and was long-listed for for the german film-award (LOLA).
