Born in Moscow in 1971, he has produced films since 2005 and trained through EuroDoc, Documentary Campus Masterschool and EAVE (2017). He has produced and co-produced over 30 films shown at IDFA, CPH:DOX, HotDocs, Zurich and others, and broadcast by ARTE, BBC and ZDF. One of few Russian producers tackling protest subjects, he left Russia after the 2022 invasion of Ukraine and was granted political asylum in France.
