The Messenger

Ten years ago two 13-year old Tibetan boys escaped over the Himalayas like hudreds of other refugees leaving behind their families. Since the escape one has had no contact with his parents, the other seldom calls home. It is too risky to keep in contact and unthinkable to return. Now after studying several years in Dharamsala India, both boys send their video messages to their parents in Tibet, delivered in person by an Estonian messenger. Scenes of meetings in an idyllic rural place as well as in militarized Lhasa, paint a picture of the sad reality of contemporary Tibet.
