The New Tsaria of Russia

Arystokraci z Nowej Rosji

Režie: Magdalena Piekorz

Synopse

The documentary will be about two kinds of the aristocracy. The old one with authentic roots, focused on Russian Aristocracy Association and new one, represented by Dżuna, called New Tsarina of Russia.
Aristocrats from Association are hard up. They live in small flats, often without separate rooms and toilette doors. The plaster is falling off. They have their schools, in which their children are taught the traditional fights, dance and etiquette. There are a few pupils because there is no money for central heating in the building. Their office in historic building needs a major overhaul. The state took their properties. To get it back they have to sue. The government treats them not very serious and laugh at evenings and Russian romances concerts organised by members of Association. But aristocrats believe that better time is still before them. They live for the past and they want Russia to be as it was during the reign of Tsar. They throw balls and conventions.
It is hard to achieve, because in front of new elite stands Dżuna. It is an unusual person, famous in Russia for years. She lives in Arbat. She used to predict future and do magic. Dżuna cured Leonid Brezniew. She invented the machine, which tested blood circulation. Now she is working out on machine, which delays the ageing process. She had strong connections with Jeltzin government. She was honoured many times. She has lots of photos with Greatest of the world in her atelier: Fellini, Kaszpirowski, Pope. And 300 her own paintings. All women she paints have her face and the stone in the middle of the forehead. That’s the third eye of Dżuna.
She gives noble titles. Among the honoured are: Ałła Pugaczowa, Siergiej Bondarczuk, Boris Jeltzin. She thinks that as the Tsar descendant, she can do that to who is worth it. She is a biotechnologist and BA on University of Moscow. Jeltzin and Pope honoured her. She lives for the future not for the past. She sees the future.
The documentary will show a story of two faces of present Russia.
