The Brotherhood

The Brotherhood is the only football club in Romania with a one-handed goalkeeper and a black coach. To raise money for the club, the owner drives a taxi and sings at wedding and parties. There is no discrimination in this team, so virtually anybody could make their dream of playing football come true: young or old, chubby or slim, Romanian, Roma, black, poor or wealthy. Their slogan, "Forget jealoushood/love brotherhood!" has brought them some local fame, even a bunch of live supporters, but has also got them into trouble. Right after an American newspaper had published a story about it, the club was robbed of nearly everything, from footballs to the goats the owner raised near the pitch. Still, the players made a collection and managed to register the team in the championship.
