Juliane Tutein studied Anthropology with a specialization in Eastern Europe before enrolling at the renowned German „Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg“ to pursue a career in directing and television journalism.
In addition to her work as a director, Juliane established herself as a versatile freelance writer and director working for various documentary formats. Her deep passion for culture and stories motivated her to immerse herself in the rich diversity of Ukraine and other Eastern European countries during her Master’s degree, which sparked her interest in the region. Today, Eastern Europe is one of her main thematic focusses.
