Marya Volchanskaya (1971). Studied philology at Moscow State Lomonosov University (graduated 1995). Worked as book and film translator. Since 2000 makes documentaries and educational films. 2002 graduated from one of the best Russian film-schools (“Higher Curses for Scriptwriting and Filmdirecting, documentary workshop by L.Gurevich, A.Gerasimov). Scriptwriter and director of almost 20 small-budget films, has experience on 35 mm. In 2008 founded together with Ivan Alferov noncommercial internet site Prodocumentary.org.
