With the lessons learned from his background as the assistant to directors like Francis Lawrence, and the Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence, emerging director Daniel Washington has begun branching out into his true passion: nonfiction filmmaking. Alongside documenting the complex search for lost Stalin-era mass graves in the Republic of Georgia, his first feature film currently in producion, Daniel has directed numerous documentary shorts that have taken him around the world. His work has been screened at numerous festivals, most recently including SF DocFest and San Francisco Independent Film Festival.
