Nikola Zecevic was born in Voorburg, Holland in 1986 to a Serbian father and a Dutch mother. As a child growing up in The Hague he showed great interest in movies and music. At the age of 16 he received his first camera as a present. From that moment on he began to teach himself everything he needed to make movies. In 2009 he dropped out of his Communication & Multimedia Design studies to pursue a career as a filmmaker and photographer. He is currently working as a freelance analog photographer and documentary filmmaker. Nikola is a fast eater, slow reader and a bad guitar player. "Gold Along The Banks" is his first independent feature length documentary film.
