Nino Chichua, co-founder of 1991 Productions, develops and produces fiction and documentary films through co-productions. Recent credits include Crossing (2024), which premiered at Berlinale Panorama and won the Teddy Jury Award, and Smiling Georgia (2023), which debuted at Karlovy Vary IFF. Currently, she is producing 9-Month Contract (Cannes Docs 2023, The Whickers finalist), Tear Gas (GNFC, CNC), and Berliner (CIRCLE Women Doc Accelerator). An NYU Tisch graduate, Nino specializes in films tackling complex and emotionally charged topics, reflecting her passion for impactful storytelling.
