Ali Samadi Ahadi is an Iranian-born German director, producer and author.
In the past couple of years, he has successfully established himself as a director of family cinema, comedies and documentaries such as LOST CHILDREN, 45 MINUTES TO RAMALLAH and SALAMI ALEIKUM.
His work has been graced with numerous prestigious awards such as the Deutscher Filmpreis in 2006 in the category of Best Documentary for LOST CHILDREN and the Deutsche Filmkritik Award in 2009 for the best feature film debut (SALAMI ALEIKUM).
Ahadi’s documentary THE GREEN WAVE has been awarded with the Grimme Preis in 2011 and ran in the “World Cinema Documentary”-competition at Sundance Film Festival in the US.
