Jasmin Al-Kattib studied communication, theatre, film and media sciences in Vienna and Salamanca. Later she worked as a freelance journalist and was involved in the production of music and web videos. She also wrote the script for the animation film "The Cuckoo In The Socket" (2011). Jasmin works as an editor at the Austrian newspaper Der Standard and always has been enthusiastic about different people and their stories. Her first directing work was the short documentary "Will and Wool" (Film Argentique, 2015). "American Vienna" is her first full lengh documentary.
