Viktorija Mickute is a three time Emmy- nominated director, producer and writer based in NYC. Viktorija's immersive documentary film Still Here, exploring incarceration and gentrification in the US, premiered at Sundance in 2020. Born and raised in Lithuania, Viktorija was awarded with the prestigious Fulbright scholarship to earn a journalism master's degree at the University of Missouri. Since 2017, Viktorija has been creating documentary films and projects at AJ Contrast, Al Jazeera Digital's media innovation studio. Her work has been recognized with 37 international awards, including One World Media, and Amnesty Media awards. In 2022, Viktorija was a Lithuanian Global Leaders Awards nominee. She is currently a fellow at the Mercury Store Theatre Directing Lab in Brooklyn.
