Inez Mátis has been working in the film industry since 2002, having tried her hand in almost every genre from commercials to animation, until 2014, when she turned to documentaries. As a producer, she made her first feature film in 2010, which was nominated in the competition of the 13th Shanghai International Film Festival. In 2016 she co-founded the Hungarian production company, Pi Productions, producing documentaries and animation, and most of their work deals with women's issues.
