Rūta Ronja Pakalne is a Latvian freelance dance and film artist, based in Tallinn, Estonia. She has graduated from a BA program in dance and choreography at the Latvian Academy of Culture, studied at dance school P.A.R.T.S. (Brussels, BE) and has a MA in Audiovisual Media: Television and Documentary film from the Tallinn University, Baltic Film, Media and Arts School. Rūta has always been interested in how to combine dance and film arts, by looking closely into micro movements of each detail that we share. She has been teaching contemporary dance technique and dance film making as a guest lecturer at Tallinn University since 2019, as well as a guest lecturer at the Latvian Academy of Culture and Iceland University of the Arts.
