Studio SB

Established in 2000 in Rīga. Focus on documenting the memories of people who were deported from Latvia on June 14, 1941, as children. The studio produces documentaries and seeks out and interviews deportees. The studio has also produced documentaries about individuals – “Signe and...”, “John Dored’s Island,” and “Job No. 1: The President.” We have produced four of the documentaries in the “Century of Cinema in Latvia” series. The studio produces documentaries, organises memorial events, and publishes books. In 2009, Studio SB established a partnership with the MENE TEKEL film festival in Prague. Studio SB films devoted to the subject of deportations were shown. Since 2002, the studio has taken part in the DETECTIVEFEST, Russia.
