O společnosti

Rucka Art Foundation, based in Cesis, Latvia, is an independent art institution producing audio-visual works, cultural and art projects, and running an artist residency. The foundation was established in 2007 by Latvian documentary film director Kaspars Goba and producer Ieva Ūbele with the aim of attracting society’s attention to important social and environmental issues through documentary film and photography projects. Over the last 15 years the foundation has produced a number of documentary films dealing with social issues. Among those are “homo@lv” (dir.Kaspars Goba, 2010, Berlinale Panorama 2011), about the events surrounding the first pride parade in Latvia, “They Were The First” (dir. Kaspars Goba, 2015) about the fate of first refugees who started independent life in Latvia and “Inga Can Hear” (dir. Kaspars Goba, 2018, HotDocs 2019), a coming-of-age story of a girl who is the only hearing member in a deaf family.
