It is a feature documentaries festival. The Main Event takes place in Kalamata, Greece and part of the program is screened in several cities all over the Peloponnese region.
The festival includes Special Events, masterclasses, retrospectives, educational screenings, seminars and so on. Music is the theme of this edition's Tribute.
The overall attendance every year reaches approximately 12.000 to 13.000 viewers.
The official notification Date for our following event is set to February 14th. The event will take place on 20-29 October, 2023. After this, all following events will be taking place in autumn.
The short film competition has moved to Kalamata Monthly International Short Documentary Film Festival.
We accepted the fact that short and mini documentaries needed their own space and created an extra five-day event in Kalamata.
The winners of Kalamata International Short Documentary Film Festival annual event, are considered official selections for PelDocFest
