The first podcast from the True Story series brings an interview with producer/co-writer Liis Nimik and director Carlos E. Lesmes López about their new documentary A Loss of Something Ever Felt, a gripping story about a young Estonian drug addict who goes missing, and his sister who searches for him in the dangerous corners of Bogotá, where no one seems to go.

Eeva enters the underground world of Bogotá, Colombia under pressure from her mother to find Lauri, her estranged brother. While her mother waits for daily updates back in their home in Estonia, Eeva navigates her brother’s dark world—she is determined to find this ghost who only lives in the whispered rumors far beneath the city of 12 million.

A Loss of Something Ever Felt was developed within IDF's Ex Oriente Film 2018 workshop and pitched at East Doc Forum 2019. The film had a World Premiere at Hot Docs 2020 and was screened at DocsMX and Bogotá IFF where it got the Audience Award. At Ji.hlava IDFF, the film was nominated for Silver Eye Award 2020.
