Synopsis
The Man standing in front of a tank convoy during the June 1989 Tiananmen Massacre in Beijing became one of the iconic images of China from the end of the 20th century. Many images of heroes of the Czechoslovak Velvet Revolution who were fighting for better future remained as well. A short documentary collage bring us to Prague and Beijing 25 years later and shows the „better future“ we all fought for. It is composed of TV news reels, combined with documentary shots, Chinese animated propaganda videos and it shows the recent development of the Sino-Czech relations. The collage is reflecting on the current political situation featuring Czech president Miloš Zeman and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping, and the famous Czech animation character Little Mole, recently sold to China.
