Haruna Honcoop is a Czech-Japanese documentary filmmaker, director, and producer based in Prague. Her documentary “Olympic Halftime” (2023) investigates the architectural and urban legacy of Olympic cities such as Beijing, Tokyo, Paris, and Athens. In 2023, she also premiered “Annexions,” a hybrid fiction-documentary feature examining the idea of territorial annexation from multiple European perspectives. Currently, she works on her new documentary film "The Island of Freedom" in Taiwan, co-directed with notable Taiwanese film director Huang Hui-Chen.
