Time to Go

"Time to Go" addresses one of society's greatest taboos: dying and death. The documentary was shot in Vienna at the hospice CS Hospiz Rennweg over the period of three months. The hospice functions especially to accomodate incurable cancer patients of which six share their innermost thoughts during the last weeks of their lives. The aim is to support the patients' life quality through appropriate pain management, soothing the symptoms and applying special care. Besides its medical facilities the hospice provides a loving atmosphere which gives the patients chance and the time to pass humanely and gracefully. "Time To Go" gives its protagonists a voice and shows that facing imminent death is in fact about living.
