Synopsis
In a very special region hidden in the mountains, people still preserve a traditional and safe relationship with nature. Yet under the beautiful mountains, there is a precious metal lying. The documentary is meant to write a history of gold mining in the Apuseni (Western Carpathians), a history of which is 5000 years old. Archaeologists present a unique heritage of goldmining in the Bronze Age, in the Roman times and in the long centuries that followed. The film witnesses the degradation of the natural and anthropological environment along the 20th century and mainly after Second World War, as seen by survivors, due to unique antropological research material.
