Synopsis
"Those January days have many names. In the course of time those bloody and painful days have taken a common and threatening name - January the 13th." The film "Unknown Heroes" begins with these lines. January the 13th. When did it start? It could have been on September 28, 1987 near the st. Anne's Church in Vilnius. It could have been exactly one year later in Puskin square, where OMON troops lashed Vilnius citizens with their bats. It could have also started during "Great October Parade", when soviet paratroopers, pointing their guns, marched for "glorious" and "invincible" Red army. Questions are answered and exceptional stories of ordinary people are told in "Unknown Heroes", a documentary film dedicated to the 20th anniversary of January events of 1991.
