The East Doc Platform (EDP) is the largest co-production, funding, and distribution event specifically designed for documentary projects from Central and Eastern Europe. Held annually in Prague, EDP connects Eastern European documentary filmmakers with key international industry professionals — including producers, broadcasters, distributors, and festival programmers.
This year's 15th edition of East Doc Platform will take place from March 19–25, 2026 at the French Institute in Prague.

This curated marketplace offers tailored one-on-one meetings between documentary creators and decision-makers, supporting documentary projects in development, finished films and rough cuts. It is an essential networking hub designed to foster meaningful collaborations.

Open programme
Beyond its core industry activities, the East Doc Platform offers a rich open programme designed for the general public, documentary enthusiasts, and emerging professionals. Each year, this accompanying programme presents a wide range of lectures, discussions, and special screenings that engage with contemporary topics and trends in documentary filmmaking. This year, the programme will thematically focus on ethics and safety in documentary filmmaking, issues of financing and the future of Czech documentary film, responsibility and power relations, and a realistic view of the journey of a documentary film from development through international festivals to distribution and audience engagement. The programme will also include a presentation of our festival distribution service East Doc Caravan, along with a screening of the award-winning film In Hell with Ivo.
