Production center Vita Aktiva was founded in 2005 in Moscow. Since then the company has produced more than a dozen of documentary and feature films, among which the films by Bakur Bakuradze: “Moscow” (2007), “Shultes” (2008), “Hunter” (2011) «Shultes» took part in «Quinzaine des realisateurs» in Cannes, won the Main Prize at Kinotavr (Sochi) and Grand-Prix at Kiev film festival Molodist, was shown at different film festivals around the world (including London, Lisbon, Montreal, Thessaloniki and many others). The film was successfully released in cinemas in Russia, Poland, Belgium, France «The Hunter» participated at film markets in Rotterdam and Berlin, was made with the Russian Cinema Fund support, was chosen for the program «Un certain regard» of Cannes Film Festivals, was awarded for Best Directing and Best Actress at Kinotavr and Grand-prix of Split and Minsk Film Festivals, and is still taking part in film festivals in Europe, Asia and America.In 2011 the documentary by Madina Mustafina «Milana» was produced, the film won Main Prize of ArtDocFest Moscow and was a participant of Doc Leipzig. In 2012 the feature film «Entropy» by Maria Saakyan was premiered in Vyborg at «Window to Europe» and received Savva Kulish award for Creative Search; and the documentary «Marina’s House» by Dali Rust (in co-production with Justamoment) was first screened at the Message to Man Film Festival and participated in many international film festivals since. The Finnish documentary «Russian Libertine» was released in 2012, Vita Aktiva was a production service company for this project. The film «Intimate parts» (the debut of Natasha Merkulova and Alexey Chupov) released in 2013 was awarded with Best Debute and Best Actress Prizes along with the Guild of Film Critics & Academics Diploma at Kinotavr 2013, participated in East of the West competition at Karlovy Vary Film Festival and other international film festivals in Pusan, Adelaide, Minsk, Split, etc.
