Tomáš Hlaváček graduated from philosophy and media studies at Masaryk University in Brno, currently he studies at the department of documentary film at FAMU in Prague and Intermedia at FAVU in Brno. He's active in the field of an independent documentary and he critically focuses on political, social and socio-cultural themes in his documentaries.
Among his feature films is the documentary In the Name of Transport Regulations (2014) giving insight into the world of ticket inspectors, the documentary When You Have Work, You Have Everything (2016) mapping the fate of the Slovak Roma who came after the 2nd World War to Bohemia. The Faces of Block of Flats (2016) depicting life in the block of flats at present, and Stadium (2018) capturing the fans effort in rescuing the club football stadium.
