Director Zoltán Füredi started his professional career in the field of ethnographic and anthropological cinema. Having been the president of Palantír Film Visual Anthropological Foundation since 2004 he launched the Strangers in My Garden Film Collection project, DocuArt Documentary Film Distribution and Dialektus - European Documentary and Anthropological Film Festival, Budapest. His 62’ documentary “Északföld” (“Northlands”) received the Best Director Prize, Best Cinematographer Prize at the 33rd Hungarian Film Week and got Special Mention of the Jury of Astra IFF (Romania); it was in competition at the 6th Jihlava IDFF, at GoEAST Festival– Wiesbaden, at Tartu Festival, Estonia. Currently he is working on the development of the current proposal named “Styx”.
