Diana Groó, a Budapest-born director, screenwriter, and producer, co-founded Katapult Film Studio and DunaDOCK documentary platform. Following prize-winning shorts and documentaries, she debuted with A Miracle in Cracow, a Polish-Hungarian mystical tale. Her second feature, Vespa (2010), about a Roma teen's journey, won awards from UNICEF, the Dialogue Prize at Cottbus FF, and Best Director in Geneva and Los Angeles. Her documentary Regina (2013), voiced by Rachel Weisz and Martina Gedeck, explores the life of the first female rabbi, winning the Lia Award at the Jerusalem Film Festival. Regina also screened at UNESCO, the Library of Congress, and on BBC Four. Diana heads the Film and Media Specialist Program at Metropolitan University Budapest, teaching scriptwriting and directing.
