Born and raised in Linz, Austria, Honetschläger was frequently sent to England. He spent four years of his life in the United States, eight years in Japan and a casual year in Italy, however, he now lives in both Austria and Japan. He directs both the COM Institute in Tokyo and the EDOKO Institute in Vienna. He expresses his beliefs in the forms of performances, installations, happenings, films, photography and drawing.
