Dr. Kurt Mündl has over two decades of international experience as a science journalist and Austrian Television director as well as movie director, scriptwriter, cameraman and producer. His over 40 television and movie documentaries have been recognized with more than 60 international awards, including three prestigious Gold Camera Awards and the Golden Decade Award (US International Film & Video Festival) presented only once every ten years. In Austria, his films received, among others, the Austrian Volksbildungspreis (Public Education Award) and the Romy TV award.Since the year 2000, Kurt Mündl has been recognized as one Europe’s most internationally acclaimed documentary filmmakers.Kurt Mündl was one of the first contributors to Austrian Television’s renowned UNIVERSUM series. Since its introduction, more than thirty UNIVERSUM sequels have been produced under his direction.
