Fábio Zanoni is a university professor, filmmaker, and researcher. He holds a PhD in the History of Education and Cinema from the University of Lisbon and has taught in Brazil, Portugal, and Canada. His academic and artistic work centers on the intersections of politics, identity, and storytelling, with a strong focus on Indigenous education and narrative sovereignty. He has worked extensively in the Brazilian Amazon and, more recently, with Cree communities in Manitoba. Zanoni is also the writer and director of several films, including I Am But Me, selected for international film festivals and currently available on Amazon. He now lives in Canada, where he continues to develop projects that explore environmental justice and Indigenous worldviews.
