East Doc is a yearly collection of approximately 200 documentary films produced exclusively in Central and Eastern Europe. Our primary mission is to curate and showcase new documentary content, including finished films and rough cuts. We take pride in featuring the East Doc collection in our comprehensive online catalogue and a digitized video library, making them accessible to film professionals such as broadcasters, major film festivals, and sales agents each year. Selection of East Doc films is also entered into the East Doc Market which takes part in East Doc Platform. 

Since its inception in 2009, East Doc has nominated outstanding films for the prestigious Silver Eye Award, promoting these new documentary films and bringing them to the attention of industry professionals. We assist nominated films in finding sales agents, broadcasters, and festival releases. 

We also support short films (up to 25 minutes) by organizing case studies dedicated to short film production and events like Short Pitch, which connect filmmakers with industry professionals.

Frequently, the talents within our region remain undiscovered by international audiences. As part of East Doc, East Doc Caravan submits a selection of exceptional Central and Eastern European documentaries to more than 400 international film festivals for consideration. 

After festival support, we connect filmmakers and VOD platforms for additional online distribution.
