Join us on Monday, April 26, at 7 pm (GMT+1), for a discussion with American producer and writer of the documentary film Making Waves: The Art of Cinematic Sound Bobette Buster. She will discuss the film and her experience with another great guest, Czech sound designer Pavel Rejholec. The discussion will be moderated by Dominik Vontor (KineDok Coordinator) and held in English with enough space for the questions from the audience.

Bobette Buster is an acclaimed lecturer, award-winning producer and author, whose workshops are sought after by top media companies and corporations alike, from Disney/Pixar, Sony and BBC to Google and SoulCycle. Her groundbreaking philosophy and process give people the ability to uncover and tell their own stories, often with the result of creating connection and community.
Her unique ability to crack into the heart of story has been transforming the way individuals, entrepreneurs and companies tell their own stories for well over two decades. Bobette is also a professor who has taught at USC School of Cinematic Arts, the Guest Faculties of international universities and now Northeastern University where she is Professor of the Practice of Digital Storytelling.

Pavel Rejholec is a sound designer, composer and producer. His work includes sound design and supervision of many Czech and co-production films, e.g. Václav Marhoul's The Painted Bird and the upcoming Zátopek biopic by David Ondříček, and TV series, such as Shadowplay, Das Boot, Crossing Lines and Spotless. He was the leading supervisor of the dubbing for Lucasfilm's 2nd and 3rd part of Star Wars. He received seven Czech Lion Awards for the Best Sound. Pavel Rejholec is not only the director of post-production facility Soundsquare, but also leads the Department of Sound at FAMU in Prague.
